Being a surgery scheduler has allowed me to be a part of a positive major change in someone’s life. I love getting to know our patients and seeing them through their process. It’s particularly amazing to watch the transformation that happens internally when someone changes something outwardly that they were unhappy about. Knowing that I have a small role getting patients to their goals gives me a sense of pride, and I also love knowing that my job has a positive impact. The team here at our practice is phenomenal, and I like that we always have the same goal: Do what’s best for the patient.

Important Tips for Post-Surgery Healing
11:06 AM
Dr. Brett Stompro
When you’re preparing for a cosmetic procedure, there are a number of important things on your preparation list. Between arranging for transportation to and from your facility to making sure your home or workspace will be taken care of while you’re away, you’ll certainly have a lot on your mind.
Don’t forget, however, to keep in mind not just your pre-operative needs, but your post-surgery needs as well. The following tips will help you prepare for what comes after your cosmetic procedure experience.
Stay in contact with your surgeon
At the offices of Dr. Brett Stompro and Dr. Chester Cheng, we’re dedicated to being there for you at every step of the plastic surgery process, from beginning to end. This care does not stop when you leave our facility—after your procedure, you will be contacted by phone and a member of our staff will go through any questions you might have right away.
After this initial follow-up call, we encourage you to contact us at any time with your questions or concerns about your recovery. This process of healing is not just physical but also mental, and our staff at the offices of Stompro and Cheng is prepared and available 24 hours a day to provide the attention you need for a successful, speedy, and complete recovery.
Take advantage of post-op care opportunities
During the first week of your recovery period, you’ll be asked to come back to our offices for a checkup. Our doctors will provide a thorough examination to ensure that there have been no complications or setbacks with your procedure. This first appointment is also a great time to review the particular care methods you can do at home relating to your procedure. In addition, this appointment allows you to further build a relationship with your doctor that will continue with the lifetime post-operative appointments offered by our offices.
Heal at your own pace
Advances in medicine have made vast improvements in recovery time for virtually all cosmetic procedures. With the combination of smaller incisions, intraoperative anesthesia techniques, and better procedures, many patients return to their normal activities within a few days.
In addition, a better understanding of the benefits of gentle handling of the tissues during surgery limits swelling and bruising. That being said, it is essential that you take the time needed to fully recover, and remember that healing time will be different for each individual patient. By paying attention to your health and keeping an open line of communication with your surgeon and nurses, your recovery will be speedy and safe.
At the offices of Dr. Stompro and Dr. Cheng, our goal is to keep you informed before, during, and after your surgical experience. In addition to achieving your desired results, we’re dedicated to making your entire experience as comfortable and open as possible. If you’re ready to discuss more information on a cosmetic procedure or have questions at any stage of your process, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Call: 925-736-0401

A Holiday Present for You: The Benefits of Having Plastic Surgery over the Holiday Break
If you’ve been looking for the perfect time to finally get the cosmetic procedure you’ve been putting off, you might want to consider getting it done over the holiday break. The holiday season can be a stressful time. We spend the majority of our time worrying about pleasing other people that we often forget to think about ourselves. Why not slow the pace down and treat yourself? You can consider this a Christmas gift to yourself.
There are quick MediSpa treatments but one of the more common cosmetic procedures for women is a tummy tuck. This is desirable for women who are already maintaining a healthy weight level through diet and exercise, but still struggle with excess skin and fat deposits around the midsection. This is usually from pregnancy or weight loss.
Before you decide to undergo the surgery, there are several things you must consider.
It is of utmost importance to have a consultation and to learn about the process and options. It is a well-known face that the most important factor in an excellent surgical result is the surgeon you select.
You want to make sure that you’ve chosen a doctor you can trust and who cares about your safety. Doctors Brett E. Stompro, M.D. and Chester K. Cheng, M.D. are highly respected Board Certified Plastic Surgeons who create a wonderful result with all care and compassion. When you choose the offices of Dr. Stompro and Dr. Cheng, you can be sure that you are in good hands.
Call 925-736-0401 or use our online form to set up a private complimentary consultation today. Happy holidays!

How to Choose a Plastic Surgeon
9:31 AM
Dr. Brett Stompro
Not All Plastic Surgeons are Alike - Look for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
When a patient begins a search to find a plastic surgeon, one of the most common things he or she is not aware of is that there is a difference between a plastic surgeon and a cosmetic surgeon. Cosmetic surgery is performed by many physicians, and unfortunately, some are not under the guidance of a properly credentialed board. The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the only board acknowledged and approved by the National Board of Medical Specialties. That means, members certified by that board are held to the highest standards as it pertains to skills, knowledge, judgment, safety and ethics in that particular specialty. Over the years, board certified plastic surgeons, and members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, have been dedicated to continuously improving plastic surgery techniques through intense research and clinical trials driven towards patient safety and outcomes.
Dr. Stompro and Dr. Cheng are both Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. Read more about Dr. Stompro. For a private complimentary consultation with one of our board certified plastic surgeons (Dr. Brett Stompro or Dr. Chester Cheng) feel free to call 925-736-0401 or use our contact form mail to request more information today.
